A square mound adjoining the moat on the south-east side of the rear circle of Itasuke Kofun. It is reconstructed as 28m long; its altered upper part now survives to a height of 3m, and it was probably built in two tiers. From its position it is thought to be related to Itasuke Kofun. Built in the first half of the 5th century, it is part of the National Historic Site Mozu Kofun Group. Cylindrical haniwa stood at intervals of about 2m on a pebble-paved terrace. It is a constituent monument of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2019.
Cylindrical haniwa stood on a pebble-paved terrace at wide intervals of about 2m. Excavation found no trace of a moat, so the mound most likely had no boundary feature. The burial facility and grave goods are not known.
The official World Heritage site gives about a 12-minute walk northeast from JR Uenoshiba Station (Hanwa Line).
