Official status & archaeological view
Official status
Managed by the IHA as the Uji-Yamada Mausoleum Reference Site.
Attribution (jitei): the Imperial Household Agency's determination of whose tomb it manages — separate from heritage designation.
Archaeological view
It may be an ancient mound, but its form, date, and burial structure cannot be archaeologically determined because the site is IHA-managed land. A 2010 government written answer gives the occupant as unknown, while an Ise City Library publication notes that a legend of Yamato-hime survives at the Obe (Onoe) mausoleum.
Field notes
As an IHA mausoleum reference site, its interior is closed to visitors; follow IHA guidance and on-site signs.
