National Historic Site "Hanayamazuka Kofun" (designated 1927).
Archaeological view
A round mound estimated at ~16m (mostly denuded), built in the mid-to-late 7th century. It has a brick-laid side-entry chamber of Haibara stone set in plaster, with a stone-doored inner room; its walls are fully plastered. Sakurai City’s former official page described it as extremely close to the brick-chambered tombs of the Korean Peninsula and as probably the tomb of an immigrant noble from Baekje.
