A 2002 investigation confirmed the huge chamber and sarcophagus first reported in 1916. Gose City says the occupant is unknown but that it is likely a chiefly-rank tomb of the Kose clan.
Finds & research
Finds from the chamber include a gilt-bronze crown, bronze-mirror fragments, and silver ornaments. The house-shaped sarcophagus has eight rope projections.
