A square mound 67m on a side and 9.7m high, built against the outer embankment west of the front section of Hakayama Kofun. It has two tiers, and its north-south axis runs almost parallel to Hakayama's outer embankment. From its placement and orientation, it is thought to be related to Hakayama. The surrounding moat is preserved underground. Fujiidera City dates it to the middle of the 5th century and the Agency for Cultural Affairs to the middle phase of the Middle Kofun period, while the official World Heritage site gives the first half of the 5th century. It is part of the National Historic Site Furuichi Kofun Group and a constituent monument of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2019.
The surrounding moat is preserved underground. Excavations outside the designated area have exposed the mound, moat and outer bank and yielded cylindrical and figural haniwa; a 1986 investigation showed that the mound slope and the inner slope of the outer bank were faced with two layers of fukiishi stones. The burial facility and grave goods are not known from published sources.
The official World Heritage site gives about a 14-minute walk northwest from Kintetsu Furuichi Station (Minami-Osaka Line).
